Frequently asked questions
How our tools work, where the data comes from, and what they can and can't do.
Yes. Every tool on the site is free to use. There is no account to create, nothing to install, and no paywall.
From official public sources, primarily the U.S. Department of State Visa Bulletin and USCIS. A person reviews each update against the official source before it goes live, and we link to that source on every tool so you can verify it yourself.
It depends on the source. The Visa Bulletin is published monthly, and USCIS processing times and fees change periodically. We refresh each tool after the official source updates and a human confirms the new figures. Each tool shows when it was last updated.
No. TheVisaTools is for general information only and is not legal advice. We are not a law firm, and using the tools does not create an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your individual case, consult a licensed immigration attorney or accredited representative.
The tools run in your browser. The priority dates and selections you enter to get a result are not sent to a server by us. See our Privacy Policy for details on how the site handles data.
Please email [email protected] with the page, the value shown, what you believe it should be, and the official source. We will check it against the source and correct it if needed. See the Contact page for what to include.
